Lights Out For Two Broadway Shows

Two of the current productions on the Great White Way have announced that they will close shortly.

This Sunday will mark the final performance for the “basketball musical” Lysistrata Jones at the Walter Kerr Theatre. The production opened less than a month ago on December 14th but has experienced a disappointing box office.

Relatively Speaking, which featured a series of one-act comedies from Ethan Coen, Elaine May and Woody Allen, is set to close on January 29th at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre. When it goes dark, the show will have completed 153 performances since beginning previews in September of last year.

The good news? There are several great new shows headed for Broadway in the next couple of months. Rest assured that we’ll let you know all about them!

And that’s today’s ShowBus Buzz. We’ll be back early next week with our next blog update. Please join us then.
