Anna Rawson’s Career Change

Former Australian model Anna Rawson has changed her career from being a model to becoming a professional athlete. Bitten and Bound reports that Rawson has earned a professional LPGA golf tour card.

A Rawson biography indicates she played collegiate golf at the University of Southern California and received All-Pac-10 honorable mention in 2001, 2002 and 2004. She seems to have a lot in common with male counterpart Tiger Woods. She has also been an active model, doing catwalk, print ad and TV work.

26 year old athlete Rawson earned her players card on Sunday after finishing an LPGA qualifying tournament with three birdies. The Bumpshack has more.

“I am very excited to be apart of this elite and diverse group of athletes,” said Rawson, “My continuous goal is to raise the profile of women’s golf, and this new phase in my career will allow me to make more strides to do so.”

Golf Now quotes Rawson expressing her gratitude to fans and supporters.

“To all those who were pulling for me, thank you so much for your love and support. Your kind words have definitely helped me get to this point. Thank you thank you thank you!,” Rawson says.

Let’s hope that Rawson’s move up in the world will bring more and more members to Golf Clubs.
