Jane Lauder

Jane Lauder has been named as the new senior vice president, general manager of Origins at the Estee Lauder Companies. Lauder will take the post on 1 July.

The Origins brand is sold in more than 30 countries. Some of its best-known product lines include Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins and A Perfect World.

HAPPI reports that Lauder will report to Hertzmark Hudis, the president who overseas BeautyBank and Ojon.

According to the company, Ms. Lauder was instrumental in a number of Clinique’s recent successes, including the launches of Acne Solutions and Almost Powder Makeup, which used innovative multi-media marketing and distribution approaches, and Clinique’s February debut on QVC, which broke the channel’s previous sales records.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, the current president of the company, Daria Myers, will take another post, a post of a senior advisor, after taking some time off.

Lauder, who will officially take the post on July 1, replaces Daria Myers, who stepped down as president of Origins two weeks ago. Myers, who was one of the founding executives of Origins, spent 31 years at Lauder and is expected to return to the firm in a senior advisory role after taking some time off.
