The British Invasion is headed for Broadway this Fall as Beatles tribute band Rain comes to the Neil Simon Theatre. The band will stage an 11-week limited engagement of Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway.
Rain has been touring the world as a tribute band to The Fab Four for nearly 30 years, performing the whole range of Beatles songs, from early 60s material to the more complex songs from the Abbey Road and Seargent Pepper albums of the later years.
Included in this limited Broadway engagement are such classic Lennon-McCartney tunes as “I Want To Hold Your Hand,” “Hard Day’s Night,” “Yesterday,” ” With A Little Help From My Friends,” “Hey Jude,” “When I’m 64,” “I Am The Walrus,” “Come Together” and many more.
Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles on Broadway will begin previews at the Neil Simon Theatre on October 19th, with opening night set for a week later on October 26th. The 11-week run will end on January 2, 2011.
And that’s today’s ShowBus Buzz. We’ll be back later this week with our next blog update. Please join us then.
