For those of a certain age, Nick Jonas is best known as part of the popular musical group, The Jonas Brothers. But tonight, he makes his debut as J. Pierrepont Finch in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Jonas will star opposite Beau Bridges at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
Jonas is the third leading man for the popular musical comedy since its opening last March. The show began with Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe in the lead. Then earlier this month, TV’s Glee star Darren Criss took over the role for a 3-week limited engagement. But tonight, all eyes will be on Jonas as he brings J. Pierrepont Finch to life on the stage.
This latest incarnation of the famous Broadway musical marked the 50th anniversary of the original production. With the aid of a trusty self-help book, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, wily window washer J. Pierrepont Finch (Jonas) enjoys a riotous rise up the corporate ladder. Can he get the promotion, the corner office and the girl, or will he learn that balancing business and pleasure can be precarious – but hilarious – and oh, so much fun?
